Driver with suspended license causes serious accident in Indiana

Eight individuals were recently injured, and a young boy lost his life after being involved in a church-bus accident in Indiana. The little boy, 6 years of age, was reportedly ejected from the bus during the serious accident. The 53-year-old driver was also ejected from the bus, which ended up landing on top of him. However, authorities report that he only suffered one broken arm.

Two adults and three children were taken to the hospital. The adults are in fair condition. One of the three children is in good condition, and the other two have been released. The other injured individuals were taken to another hospital, but it is not yet clear what are the extent of their injuries or their current conditions.

According to the report, the bus began to swerve on the roadway before leaving the road and hitting a tree. It ended up landing on its side. The accident supposedly occurred due to driver error. At this time, there is no evidence that suggests any type of mechanical failure or malfunction with the vehicle.

Reports do show that the driver was reportedly driving without a valid driver's license. His license had been suspended, and a warrant was out for his arrest. He reportedly had a traffic violation for which he had failed to appear in court.

Negligence like this does not belong on the streets of Indiana or anywhere else in the nation. Unfortunately, it is present. However, victims who are injured in serious accidents may be eligible for financial compensation for the damages incurred as a result of the negligent drivers' actions. If a fatality is involved in an accident, the surviving family members can pursue a legal claim on behalf of the deceased victim. Any monetary award that is awarded to victims or their families in successful claims may be able to help recover financial losses that resulted from such a serious accident.
