Serious accident in Indiana may have been caused by cop

A fatal car accident has sparked an investigation into an Indiana police officer's evening. Reportedly, the cop struck and killed a pedestrian. The officer was off-duty when the serious accident occurred. Supposedly, there was a phone call made to 911 regarding a dark-clothed man who was walking down the middle of the road and refusing to move for traffic.

A few minutes later, the off-duty officer who struck the man called 911, informing dispatchers that he had just struck a man. As soon as the call was completed, he reportedly tried to save the pedestrian's life. Unfortunately, he passed away due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The off-duty officer was driving a marked patrol car, which led to the presence of a supervisor in the police force at the scene. It is suspected that the officer was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He has currently been placed on leave, and his authority as a police officer has been suspended until further notice.

It does not matter if an individual is injured in a car accident caused by an off-duty police officer, a top-level business executive or a coffee shop barista, all victims, and the families of deceased victims, have the right to consider taking legal actions against the responsible drivers. Following a serious accident, it is not uncommon for those affected to face financial perils. With the knowledge of Indiana state laws, the gathering of evidence and the understanding of one's rights, it may be possible to recover full and fair compensation for property damage, medical bills, burial expenses, past and future lost wages, as well as both physical and mental pain and suffering.
